Welcome to my world

Sometime, somewhere, I came across a lovely book called “Writers’ Desks,” filled with photographs of various work environments, some neat, some wildly untidy (one could almost match them up with their respective authors!). I’ll have to keep that book in mind when I’m poking through used bookshops; I’d rather like to see it again.

In that same spirit, I thought I’d share my workspace with you. I love my desk. I truly feel at home at my desk. Everything on it is either useful or makes me happy (one or two items manage to do both). So here it is…

The tray that collects all my miscellaneous stuff. The skull is memento mori; the crystal ball tells me nothing about the future, but is useful to play with when I’m puzzling something out.

The signage is from an old bookshop. The flower is from my garden.

This is a ridiculous object, but it pleases me.

Do you have pictures of your workspace? I’d love to see them!
