Review: The Honeymoon Homicides “Has Everything That You Want”
While this is the 10th book in a series, it can be read as a standalone, so please do not let this deter you. If anything, you will become fond of Sydney and Ali and want to go back and read the rest (me – totally me). Sydney and Ali get married and a guest of the hotel where the wedding is held (which Sydney is part owner in) falls to his death during the wedding celebration. A murder during your wedding should be quite a distraction, but once you know Sydney and Ali it makes sense why the two of them plug on and head to their honeymoon. Ali is an undercover agent and Sydney is more like a Nancy Drew investigator that doesn’t want to leave things alone. She wants answers and she wants to protect Ali.
This is a wonderful, engaging, cozy murder mystery. Our author paints such a vivid picture of Provincetown and the locations where the book takes place. This book has everything that you want. Red herrings, threats, murder, mayhem, some humor and of course the last minute twists that we all love.
